Pantone colors are commonplace for people in the marketing industry. Logos and design in general, are defined partly by their Pantone color. When putting a company’s logo on a shirt, headphones or even a folder, it is imperative that you keep the integrity of the brand. Therefore, you need to call out the Pantone colors appropriately so.
It’s so interesting to me that, in the past few years, the new Pantone colors have helped to sculpt fashion’s colors.

Rose Quartz
I have never really been a “pink”person, but there is something about Rose Quartz. This shade of pink is, to me, somewhat sheer BUT also has enough color to add a bit of color to my cheeks as well. This particular shade of pink seems to compliment all skin tones, making it very popular. Below are examples of some favorite pieces I’ve come across. Click on the image for more information.
Serenity
Next comes Serenity. I have never heard of this color until recently. My interpretation of it is a matured baby blue. It was a bit more challenging to find clothing and accessories in this particular color.
Which of these two new colors for 2016 are your favorite? Either one would be a great compliment to anyone’s skin tone and would look especially nice with a sun tan. I think I need to get some of these pieces for my upcoming Disney cruise!
Becky @ Disney in your Day says
I think I like serenity. I’m not a huge fan of paler colors but I do think they look nice together.

What great picks! I love the rose but to be honest either color would compliment anyone and they’re perfect for the upcoming spring.

I love rose quartz (it’s been a color I am in love with for a while now) but am not a huge fan serenity, mostly because I look AWFUL in baby blue!!
Dana says
Taylor, I do like rose quartz a bit more than serenity as well. I feel like it goes with much more in my closet!

I love the pantone report..I look at it often…not a fan of pastels too much…but that pink is kind of pretty!
They are great colors for spring though!

These colors are perfect for Spring – the rose quartz has a hint of color and goes so well with a lot of other colors!

Both are gorgeous! I’d go with either.

Last year was a lot of the darker colors, so this year is a nice change of pace!
Charlene says
I love the pastels this year! And actually, I never knew there was much of a purpose to the pantone colors besides fashion. lol I’m clueless.
Dana says
Charlene, I wouldn’t have known about the purpose of pantone colors had I not worked in marketing. When my husband proofed my post he asked me what Pantone was…it’s not a common household brand in the least!
Donnica says
I love them both. The names are perfect. I think Serenity is so complimentary for many skin tones. I’m excited to see spring fashion with these colors incorporated.
Dana says
Donnica, I agree that the names are perfect representations of the colors – and they are perfect for Spring!!
